Just found this youtube video online (within the post). And this report from Channelnews Asia too. They’ve a video on their site as well.
I can’t deny that the last part of Singapore Day has an agenda. Basically the message was to get the Singaporeans to feel like going home. Well, I’ve to go home in a month anyway, so it doesn’t affect me much. I do wonder, however, how many Singaporeans who’ve been overseas for years feel about it. Wish I knew. Oh, the songs are cheesy, but I still like them. They’re pretty good at this propaganda thing, aren’t they?
